I live in West Wales and have a huge affinity for the place, loving the mountains and beaches here. People talk about the warmth within my ceremonies and within my character, making their guests as well as themselves “feel the love” on their wedding day. I’ve a very relaxed style, which leads to everybody else feeling relaxed and enjoying the day.
I’ve had plenty of experience in front of crowds, whether on a mic at live events, competing in sport or on TV. So when conducting a wedding, vow renewal or naming ceremony, I’ve enough adrenaline to help me “rise to the occasion”, but I’m chilled and ready to pick up on cues to go “off piste” if necessary. This leads to a very natural delivery of the ceremony, and it enables me to ensure that everybody, not just my couple or family, feel the joy and love of the occasion.
Whether you’re looking for something traditional in feel, or wacky and alternative, I bring my love of ceremony with me and will conjure the tone you’re looking for on your special day. For me, a “personal” ceremony doesn’t have to be a “this is your life” approach to your story. It’s finding out who you are and reflecting this to your tribe. It’s knowing that everyone there is in the moment with us. This could be through telling your story, but may equally be reflecting your philosophy as a couple through my written words, symbolism, readings or your own contribution to the script. We won’t know how it’s going to go until we’ve chatted online or in person.
